NOTE: If the gasket is wrinkled or creased to the extent that it effects the appearance or the abillity to seal properly, the following method is suggested to remove the wrinkles or creases prior to placement.
1. Use a 12" cake pan or similar container to heat water to a light boil.
2. Wait until the water begins a bubbling boil, BUT DO NOT ALLOW WATER TO BOIL VIGOROUSLY.
3. Dip the area of the gasket which has been creased or wrinkled in the lightly boiling water for ten (10) seconds with the gasket sealing surface facing down.
4. Avoid bending the gasket when heated, merely allow the gasket to sag into the water.
5. Chill the heated gasket under a slow running stream of cold water with the gasket sealing surface face down.
